Terms of service

1. 1. The service

   Montessa provides school management software on the web and on phones. A school's subscription covers the products included in its plan, for the students it has enrolled.

2. 2. Plans and payment

   Plans are priced per enrolled student per month, billed monthly or yearly. Yearly billing costs ten months' worth. Starter is free for up to 30 students. Paid plans start with a free trial, and a school can change plan or cancel at any time from its subscription settings, with no set-up or cancellation fees.

3. 3. Student limits

   Each plan holds a set number of active students. When a school reaches its limit it can keep using everything it already has, and is asked to move up a plan before enrolling more.

4. 4. The school's data

   Everything a school records stays the school's. It can export it at any time, and we delete it after the school leaves, as described in our privacy page.

5. 5. Acceptable use

   Schools are responsible for the accounts they invite and for what is posted in Montessa. It may not be used to harm children, to send unsolicited messages, or to try to reach another school's information.

6. 6. Fee payments

   When a school takes fees online, the payment is between the family and the school, processed by Paystack or Stripe under their own terms. Montessa records the result.

7. 7. Availability and changes

   We work to keep Montessa available and improve it continuously. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell schools in advance.
